Very traditional UP pasties made as my wife's grandmothers made for the miners in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Made from sirloin that I grind myself, suet, potatoes, carrots, onions, and of course, rutabaga. The handmade crust uses both butter and lard. Yoopers argue whether you should use ketchup or gravy on their pasties. These are a real treat.
